USA Racquetball Director of National Events

The Director of National Championships, reporting to the Executive Director, shall be responsible for organizing and facilitating USA Racquetball’s National Championships, which include the UnitedHealthcare US OPEN Championships, National Doubles Championships, National Singles Championships, National Juniors Championships, National High School Championships, and National Intercollegiate Championships. These championships are responsible for a significant portion of the organization’s revenue.  This individual will maintain and grow championships sponsorship, secure championships locations, and manage associated logistics.

This is a part-time position that would promote racquetball at the facility by promoting, organizing and facilitating club leagues, shoot-outs, tournaments, and other racquetball related activities/events. Junior Racquetball Coordinator

As a part-time (5-10 hours per week) Junior Racquetball Coordinator, you will grow the junior racquetball membership and provide outstanding customer service to all members. Promote, sell and organize all junior racquetball club programs and deliver the Life Time brand of racquetball experience with the support of the Activity Center staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate junior beginner “Try It” classes.
  • Supervise the Junior After School group racquetball program (once per week / one hour group lesson).
  • Promote, organize, sell, and host all junior racquetball club programs and events.
  • Update racquetball club webpages and social media weekly with junior program updates.
  • Work with local schools to promote phy-ed and club sport programs using corporate promotional materials


Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Intermediate or better computer experience (internet and MS Office software)
  • High level of energy and enthusiasm for racquetball
  • Experience coaching junior sports (preferably racquetball)
  • Available 5 to 10 hours per week


Compensation:

  • Free Diamond club membership (provides access to all clubs)
  • Hourly wage Gearbox sponsorship
