U.S. Paralympics Nordic Skiing (USPN) is excited to announce the 2021-22 National Para Nordic Development Race Series, which will include both biathlon and cross-country skiing competitions.  This series will take place over four race weekends, hosted by Nordic clubs across the country. We will track participation and results to award series’ winners for the top three Para athletes with the greatest number of points at the end of the season.  All classes and genders will be combined to determine the overall top three award winning positions.

  • No qualification is required
  • Athletes must have an eligible impairment according to WPNS Classification Rules & Regulations, in order to be eligible for prizes in this competition. See WPNS Classification Rules and Regulations Doc, appendices 1 and 2 ,for a list of both eligible and non-eligible impairments.  If an athlete is uncertain as to whether or not they would be considered eligible, please email BethAnn, Bethann.chamberlain@usopc.org, to help determine eligibility.
  • Classification: Points for this series will be calculated after WPNS Classification Percentages have been applied to athletes finishing time.  If an athlete has not been classified, they will be classed in the highest factor in their class, (B class – B3, Standing class- LW4, Sitting classes – LW12).   Go to the WPNS website for more information about para Nordic classification.
