Personal: Lachenauer broke his back during a motocross race after mistiming a jump and spilling off the track in 2008. He had been cycling competitively for less than two seasons when he earned his first national titles. He won both the road race and time trial in his class at the 2012 USA Cycling Road National Championships. Since then, Lachenauer has gone on to earn three world championship medals and multiple world cup podium finishes as well....Married to Tanya Lachenauer…Has two daughters, Deja and Uma…Hobbies include getting beat by his daughters at chess. He wishes he had taught them checkers instead.
