Selection Procedures
The selection criteria is the process by which athletes qualify for U.S. teams attending major international competitions, such as world championships and the Paralympic Winter Games, and is generally posted 12 months before the competition. U.S. Paralympics or the relevant national governing body may use other methods, including invitation, to select teams to other international competitions.

Neither U.S. Paralympics nor any U.S. Paralympics athlete, employee, contractor, coach, referee/official, agent, or volunteer may threaten or take action against an athlete for disclosing information to or asking for assistance from the Office of the Athlete Ombuds.
