Wood tried skiing at age two and began racing at age five...He suffered a stroke while in the womb, which resulted in hemiplegia of the right side of the body...Although he was diagnosed with his impairment as a baby, his parents did not tell him about it until he was age 10...He began competitive Para skiing after attending a race camp hosted by Disabled Sports USA in December 2014...Son of Randy and Barb Wood...Has one sister, Kali.
