How did you get involved in the sport?

I started weightlifting because my dad, a football coach, wanted me to play. I didn't really enjoy football but did a few skill camps to try it out. Included in these camps was a more Olympic style weightlifting. The coach is my current coach today and that's when I got to know him. I had no idea there were competitions for the sport until I was asked if I wanted to compete, and ever since then I have.

What is your favorite lift in competition?

My favorite competition lift is the snatch. It's not about maximum strength like the clean, but about technique. A perfect maximal snatch feels almost effortless.

What is your greatest accomplishment/ achievement of your athletic career?

Getting named on the 2019 Youth World Team.

Who have been your biggest supporters in your athletic career?

My parents have been very supportive of what I choose to do.  They make sure I have everything I need for lifting and can get to competitions. My coaches are always looking for ways to help me improve and get stronger. My dad is one of my coaches. Teachers are always amazing and ask "when is the next competition?" or "how did you do?"

What is the best part about competing?

The best part of competing is knowing how hard you worked to get there and the sacrifices you made for it.
