2020 National Junior Water Ski Team Selected

Top junior water ski athletes from across the nation have been selected to the American Water Ski Association’s National Junior Water Ski Team for 2020. The 28 selections for the Boys/Girls 2 (13 and under) and Boys/Girls 3 (17 and under) divisions were based on performances during the 2019 tournament season.

NCWSA Announces 2020 Hall Of Fame Inductees

The National Collegiate Water Ski Association, one of nine sport discipline organizations of USA Water Ski & Wake Sports, has announced that Jimmy Siemers, Ed and Carole Walker, and Phil Chase will be the 2020 inductees into the NCWSA Hall of Fame. That was one of several announcements following the NCWSA’s annual mid-winter board of directors meeting on Jan. 24 in Auburndale, Fla.

Annual Awards Banquet Set For Saturday, Jan. 25

USA Water Ski & Wake Sports and its nine sport discipline organizations will honor several of their members on Saturday night at USA Water Ski & Wake Sports’ annual awards banquet at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland, Fla. The event, which celebrates the 2019 water ski season, will be held in conjunction with USA Water Ski & Wake Sports’ mid-winter board meetings for the 20th consecutive year. The 2019 award winners were selected either by the USA Water Ski & Wake Sports Awards Committee or by the respective sport discipline organization.

2020 GOODE Nationals Schedule Released

The tournament schedule for the 2020 GOODE Water Ski National Championships is now available to view and download. The 78th annual event, hosted by the Ski Club of the Palm Beaches, will take place Aug. 4-8 at Okeeheelee Park in West Palm Beach, Fla.

USA Water Ski & Wake Sports, along with ski clubs across the country, will host free learn to ski events! USA Water Ski & Wake Sports is covering the cost of sanctioning and guest memberships for all ski clubs who participate in Get on the Water Week!

Normand Wins Annual New Year's Day Tournament

Rachel Normand (Tega Cay, S.C.) became the first female to take top honors in the 43-year history of the famous Lake Norman New Year’s Day Barefoot Tournament. Her score of 576 points was more than double of second place, and is the fifth highest score ever. Normand is the current Senior women’s world champion, 2017 Water Ski Hall of Fame inductee and five-time world elite champion.
