ATHLETE SAFETY

SAFE SPORT

The U.S. Center for SafeSport seeks to create a healthy, supportive environment for all participants. Through education, resources and training, the U.S. Center for SafeSport helps members of the sport community recognize, reduce and respond to misconduct in sport. USA Water Ski & Wake Sports strives to provide a safe environment for its members and is committed to create an atmosphere that is free of harassment and abusive practices. USA Water Ski & Wake Sports and its affiliated sport discipline organizations will not tolerate any form of harassment, abuse or misconduct and will uphold a zero tolerance policy.

USA Water Ski & Wake Sports has adopted the U.S. Center for SafeSport Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies (MAAPP). We are committed to building a sport community where participants can work and learn together in an atmosphere free of emotional, physical, and sexual misconduct.

As a requirement for membership with USA Water Ski & Wake Sports, all adult members (age 18 and over) who have regular contact with any minor and/or have authority over a minor in the sport must complete SafeSport Training. If you are unsure whether or not you are required to complete SafeSport training or whether or not you need to complete Background Screening, please refer to the USA Water Ski & Wake Sports SafeSport Certification Compliance Chart. USA Water Ski & Wake Sports encourages all of its adult members (age 18 and over) to complete SafeSport Training.
