  • While deployed by the U.S. Air Force on a presidential support mission, lost his legs after he was hit by a boat while swimming near St. Croix on April 19, 2009.

Path to the Sitting Volleyball National Team:: "After rehab I starting playing volleyball again this time in the sitting discipline for the US Air Force Team. I was recruited to the A2 development program by USA Volleyball while attending the 2014 Open championships in 2014. Rostered for the U.S. Men's National Team in 2017."
