Path to the Sitting Volleyball National Team:: "I cannot remember a time before I played volleyball. I started playing standing volleyball in third grade, but my path towards the Sitting National Team became more direct in 2017 at Big South National Qualifier. I was playing on my 16s team, and the referee for the game happened to be Elliot Blake, the director of the A2 program. He had just gotten back from the Youth Parapan American Games with our Youth Sitting Team, which included Nina McVay, who went I went to high school with. After talking to her, I decided to try sitting volleyball and attended my first A2 camp. I went to two A2 training camps and in November of 2017, I attended my first National Team training camp. I have been training with the team ever since."

Happiest Moment in Life: "No one specific moment in my life really sticks out. I truly consider myself to be an overall happy person that has experienced many instances of joy. If I had to pick a moment, it would probably be the final day of eighth grade volleyball tryouts. Volleyball was really competitive at that school and I had gotten cut from the team in seventh grade, just days after the passing of my first coach. In eighth grade, I made the varsity team and remember being more excited than I can possibly describe. I had gotten to experience how hard work can really pay off and couldn’t wait to be able to play volleyball, so I would probably say that is my happiest moment was that day when I found out that I had made the team."
