- "I was born with only three toes on my right leg. My femur was shorter and my leg was also shorter. I had the option of amputation or keeping it and living my life in a wheelchair - my parents decided to amputate. I had my right foot amputated at nine months old and I got my first prosthetic at 11 months."
Path to the Sitting Volleyball National Team:: "I was introduced to sitting volleyball through a summer camp in Ohio in 2016. Shortly after I started training in the National Team A2 program and about a year later I started training with the national team in November of 2017. I joined the national team in 2019.
