Job Description

The Manager, SafeSport is a regular full-time salaried position reporting to the in-house attorney. This position’s primary role is to support regions and staff regarding SafeSport matters to include receiving, reporting and tracking complaints of abuse and misconduct, ensuring compliance and auditing activities are communicated, met and tracked, while also promoting education materials and raising the platform of athlete safety. Minimal travel may be required to attend annual meetings or SafeSport training. Extended hours are to be expected to include some nights, weekends and holidays.

Requirements

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Serve as USA Volleyball’s primary liaison with the USOPC, U.S. Center for SafeSport’s Education and Outreach, Compliance and Investigations and Resolution departments and other NGB’s, in all matters related to athlete safety.
  • Keep supervisor and management apprised of all important issues related to USA Volleyball’s athlete protection efforts.
  • Serve as staff liaison to the RVAA SafeSport Working Group, providing information on current initiatives, requirements, and provide feedback on issues that affect the RVAA.
  • Monitor and respond to the USAV General SafeSport Inbox.
  • Be the initial and primary point of contact for all complaints and related questions related to abuse and misconduct.
  • Receive and acknowledge all complaints, in a timely manner that come through the USAV National SafeSport hotline and email.
  • Provide communication, in a timely manner, to all relevant parties on progress and status of complaints as appropriate.
  • Maintain records on all cases logging investigation information, activities and status of cases.
  • Ensure that there is an effective tracking system and provide updates and status reports as appropriate to supervisor.
  • Coordinate, produce and oversee the implementation of effective educational programs for all member athletes, their parents, coaches and clubs.
  • Continually monitor relevant subject matter, identify issues and trends, and keep USA Volleyball national and regional leadership informed.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications department to disseminate information through USAV blogs, newsletters, etc.
  • Serve as an informational resource for regions and clubs, including helping to identify and connect them with local educational partners and resources.
  • Work with region to incorporate athlete protections education components into their programs and services.
  • Assist on a region-by-region basis as requested.
  • Plan and bring educational opportunities to the annual USA Volleyball meeting and identify and work with others to raise awareness and advance educational efforts.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in legal studies, social services, law enforcement, related degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of five years working in the following disciplines: social services, child protective services, law enforcement, para legal, or other related field.
  • Possess excellent customer service to the public, staff and 40 regions.
  • Working experience providing customer service to diverse constituent group.
  • Possess excellent written, verbal and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications with emphasis on Excel.
  • Presentation skills are a plus.
  • Working knowledge of the U.S. Center for SafeSport and USOPC athlete protection programs is a plus.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a USAV background screening (prior to hire date).
  • Must successfully complete SafeSport certification within two weeks of hire date. Training must be maintained throughout employment.

Minimum Starting Salary

Job Description

This Coordinator, Video & Audio Production is a regular full-time position reporting to the Director, Marketing. This position is responsible for all USA Volleyball operations. Production will include creating promotional, educational and informational video, as well as supporting broadcast and webcast (livestream) production and partnerships. The position will also be responsible for videography and limited social media content creation for USA Volleyball events and programs. This position is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Requirements

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Plan, film, edit and produce video and audio content to support multi-channel media strategy for promotional and educational use.
  • Storyboard video concepts and projects.
  • Develop shot lists, interview questions and scripts for video shoots and audio recording.
  • Coordinate logistics of video equipment and resources for the purpose of filming and editing video.
  • Build and maintain an archive of all raw and final produced media including cataloging and organization of video and audio assets.
  • Create and publish social media content integration photo, video and/or graphic assets and real-time content for USA Volleyball events and programs.
  • Develop and recommend best practices in video content across owned media channels for cross-utilization of video and audio assets on a continuous basis.
  • Utilize and manage creative production in project management system and work with marketing, communications and creative services staff to execute strategic campaigns and initiatives.
  • Communicate with and deliver video content to external stakeholders, media and 3rd party providers for external delivery of video and audio assets.
  • Contact, brief and coordinate external service providers in video & audio production.
  • Track and analyze l video and audio performance metrics.
  • Additional duties and projects as required.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in video production, communications or equivalent professional work experience.
  • Minimum three years of video production and/or videography experience.
  • Experience in conceptualizing, scripting and producing video pieces.
  • Experience in creative services and sports broadcast background is preferred. 
  • Proficient with video editing systems and production software (Adobe Creative Suite tools, Photoshop and Premiere; Final Cut Pro, etc.) is a plus.
  • Additional skills in Adobe Creative Suite tools including Illustrator and Spark is a plus.
  • Experience in broadcast video delivery and compliance standards is a plus.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a USAV background screening (prior to hire date).
  • Must successfully complete SafeSport certification within two weeks of hire date. Training must be maintained throughout employment.

The Manager, High Performance (HP) manages all aspects of the Beach High Performance Programs to include but not limited to: tryouts, athlete depth charts, program planning and implementation, U19 & U21 National Teams, budget oversight, Beach High Performance Championships and other events execution. The position will include event oversight, data compilation and analysis, athlete evaluation and program staffing. Manage HP National Teams and coordinate all aspects of staff and team selection, training, travel, and FIVB and NORCECA competition. This position requires excellent organization, communication, planning and coordination. The Manager, Beach High Performance for age group athletes (U13 – U23) is a regular full-time position reporting directly to the Director, High Performance. Additional hours may be required to include nights, weekends and holidays. This position is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Requirements
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Manage all aspects of the Beach High Performance Programs, including tryouts, training programs, coaches, and year-round depth chart management.  
  • Serve as lead staff in the logistics and coordination of assigned High Performance Events, National Teams, and Programs.
  • Create and maintain event registrations in HP online system(s).
  • Provide technical and conceptual recommendations for system and process improvements.
  • Provide detailed data analysis and reporting to the department for planning and budgeting including participation, program expenses, program income, gear and apparel.
  • Coordinate logistics throughout the year, including packing, shipping, organize, inventory, receive and ship equipment to and from HP programs.
  • Responsible for program and event management to include scheduling, planning, on-site support, staffing, budget and execution.
  • Oversee assigned budgets including tracking, reporting and accountability for annual performance.
  • Serve as primary point of communication for athlete, coach and family inquiries for assigned programs.
  • Responsible for oversight of assigned tryouts/assessments, and programs to include selection of independent contractors and insuring contractual obligations are met.  
  • Perform administrative task associated with the above and as assigned.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, Business or Sport Administration or related degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum five years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with talent evaluation and comprehensive understanding of volleyball principles.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a USAV background screening (prior to hire date).
  • Must successfully complete SafeSport Certification within two weeks of hire date.

Desired Qualifications

  • Beach Volleyball programming experience is a plus.
  • Experience with coaching or managing volleyball programs.
  • Experience working with USOC/NGB/Region High Performance

Minimum Starting Salary

$46,300 - Commensurate with experience.

The Coordinator, Events is a regular full-time position reporting to the Director, Events. The successful candidate will be an experienced professional tasked with supporting all aspects of department operations to include but not limited to: team registration, event logistics and execution, and budget management. This position requires excellent organization, communication, planning and coordination. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize a diversified workload, and make recommendations for changes in office processes, programs and practices. This position answers non-routine correspondence exercising the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of constituencies. Additional hours may be required to include nights, weekends and holidays. The position is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Requirements
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Serve as lead in coordination and execution of assigned events to include budgeting, event logistics, team registration and support, and event execution.
  • Handle direct inquiries and/or requests which can be addressed without Director involvement.
  • Process all incoming event-related revenues, and file and process event registrations.
  • Produce reports, presentations, spread sheets and special projects, and assist with preparing, packing, distributing, or shipping all materials as required by the events department staff. 
  • Administer independent contractor agreements for assigned events. 
  • Record and verify registrations in event database and work with volleyball regions and teams concerning their registrations/data.
  • Ensure timely posting of qualifier results on the website. 
  • Post event-related information on website as needed.
  • Provide in-office support for event department staff.
  • Assist in overall conduct of the USA Volleyball domestic events. 
  • Assist in calculating VIK numbers/amounts for all Championship Events.
  • Point of contact for ordering and management of signs and printed materials.
  • Primary Department Contact on Awards RFP and negotiations, award design and concept, ordering, disbursement and inventory. 
  • Other duties and projects as assigned. 


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, Business or Sport Administration or related degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum three years of relative experience.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Must be a self-starter with initiative and focus on details
  • Must be able to successfully pass a USAV background screening (prior to hire date)
  • Must successfully complete SafeSport Certification within two weeks of hire date
