Job Description
The Instructional Systems Designer is a regular full-time responsible for the planning, development and delivery of all online learning for USA Volleyball (USAV), with the largest portfolios being the optimization of Officials Development and Coaching Education materials. The position supports and collaborates with all (internal and external) stakeholders, representing online learning, integration with USAV’s member management system (including SafeSport) and other instructional technical projects. Further, the role recommends policies, develops procedures and supports systems to assist E-Learning projects of all departments. Extended hours may be required during seasonal peaks to include nights, weekends and holidays. This position is located in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Requirements

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:
  • Work with senior management in developing USAV’s long-term e-learning strategy and action plan.
  • Oversee collaborative development, execution and implementation of USAV’s e-learning strategy.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for curricula to include: Instructional design; Photography, videography, and graphics; voice overs; asset management; and quality control.
  • Work with director, officials development and other USAV department staff to create and maintain overall functionality and user interface of USAV Academy.
  • Serve as the technical point of contact with the Center for Safe Sport as it relates to USAV’s member management system.
  • Develop and implement monetization strategies for VolleyballRefTraining (VRT).
  • Lead in the development and deployment of officials’ custom curricula as determined by the director, officials development.
  • Produce training materials for delivery online and in USAV Academy to include online exams, tests, quizzes, and clinics.
  • Facilitate system integration to support VRT clinic and event registrations.
  • Maintain website material to include VRT media resources and blog.
  • Coordinate with Regional Volleyball Associations and third-party providers on LMS needs and programs.
  • Responsible for the management of USAV Academy helpdesk activities.
  • Lead point of contact with learning management system (LMS) provider.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional technology, related degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Convert instructor-led training workshop content into interactive e-learning courses.
  • Create compelling e-learning content and learning activities that enhance learning retention and transfer.
  • Follow established e-learning design standards and branding guidelines.
  • Work with subject matter experts, assessing content and identifying gaps.
  • Six years of experience in online/blended programming ensuring academic quality and innovative program development.
  • Five years of experience in design and implementation of online learning courses to include Instructional technology applications, software and training techniques.
  • Demonstrated project management experience; designation is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship building skills.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a USAV background screen prior to hire date.
  • Must successfully pass SafeSport training within two weeks of hire date. Training must be maintained throughout employment.

Job Description

The Coordinator, Finance is a regular full-time position reporting the controller. The position supports the department recording activity in the general ledger, preparing accounts payable and aids in distributing financial statements, monthly. The position also assists in the annual budgeting process for specific departments. This position is located in Colorado Springs, Colo. Some travel is required.

Requirements

 

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Participate in implementing various financial policies & procedures.
  • Review and approve purchase orders and accounts payable documents.
  • Perform data entry, including invoices, revenues, and month-end general ledger adjustments.
  • Prepare 1099 forms annually.
  • Provide oversight and advise in all financial activities relating to assigned programs including, but not limited to: budget creation, approval of all financial transactions, and custom reporting.
  • Analyze financials, budget performance, and KPIs and make operational recommendations to controller.
  • Assist controller in compilation of monthly financial statements.
  • Assist with annual audit, prepares documents for review for auditors.
  • Maintain GL records and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
  • Finance central point at national events – responsible for recording daily sales, provide customer service, and reconciling event transactions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum three years working experience in accounting or finance.
  • Possess advanced level skills in Microsoft Office products especially Excel.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a USAV background screening prior to the hire date
  • Must successfully complete SafeSport training within two week of hire date.
 

Minimum Starting Salary

$38,500 Commensurate with experience
