Job Description

The Assistant, Region Services is a temporary, full-time position through December 31, 2020, reporting to the Coordinator, Region Services. This position assists the Region Services Support Team and regions in all areas associated with membership. The Assistant, Region Services will provide customer service to internal and external customers by assisting with the USAV member management system, acting as a region liaison, compiling current membership lists and testing data systems. Additional hours may be required to include nights, weekends and holidays. This position is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Requirements

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Provide timely and pleasant customer service to constituents.
  • Responsible for receiving and responding to membership management system emails.
  • Assist in answering general membership requests for internal and external customers.
  • Conduct ongoing data maintenance.
  • Test current and upcoming processes in the member management system.
  • Identify, troubleshoot and properly report system errors.
  • Verify participants in various USAV events meet the required membership and safety participation requirements.
  • Work with various event administration systems providing support to USAV regions and club personnel.
  • Produce reports for varies internal and external sources.
  • Process monthly reconciliations for USA Volleyball providers and partners.
  • Assist with inventory, packing and shipping in the warehouse as needed.
  • Provide phone coverage at front desk as needed.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Possess intermediate level experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently or on a team.
  • Ability to prioritize competing tasks.
  • Self-starter, takes initiative to solve problems.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service to staff, partners and customers of USAV.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a USAV background screening (prior to hire date).
  • Must successfully complete SafeSport Certification within two weeks of hire date.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field is a plus.

Minimum Starting Salary

$13.40/hour.  USAV also offers a comprehensive benefits package to all full-time employees.

Job Description

The Coordinator, Marketing is a regular full-time position reporting to the Director of Marketing and will assist in creation and execution of strategic marketing plans and campaigns for USA Volleyball operations. Extended hours may be required to include nights, weekends and holidays. The position is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Requirements

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Draft, develop and execute strategic marketing campaigns for events and programs with varying needs and concurrent timelines.
  • Write copy to market, promote and build engagement around the athletes, events, USA Volleyball and the sport of volleyball.
  • Contribute promotional content for USA Volleyball brand campaigns, magazine, newsletters, display and other paid media.
  • Assist with creative strategy and project management of creative projects in conjunction with the strategic marketing plans.
  • Coordinate and execute advertising campaigns via display, social media, radio, print, outdoor, TV broadcast, search engine, etc.
  • Organize and execute media buys.
  • Analyze reports on advertising performance and provide recommendations on paid media strategy.
  • Support merchandise strategy, design, fulfillment and distribution for USA Volleyball Shop, wholesale and consumer licensing program.
  • Assist in brand management and stewardship regarding usage and guidelines for USA Volleyball marks and intellectual property.
  • Research and conduct analysis of consumer behavior in addition to sports and marketing industry trends to provide insight into development of campaigns and assist in prioritizing marketing efforts.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with sponsors, corporate partners, official suppliers and vendors to support execution of sponsor deliverables and fulfillment of sponsorship agreements.
  • Assist with drafting and execution of sponsor presentations.
  • Create and compile annual sponsorship reports.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum three years’ experience in marketing, advertising or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and strong project management skills.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in advertising and/or sales is a plus
  • Skill set in Adobe Creative is a plus
  • Experience in copywriting or journalism, editorial writing is a plus.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a USAV background screening (prior to hire date).
  • Must successfully complete SafeSport training within two weeks of hire date. Training must be maintained throughout employment.

Minimum Starting Salary

$38,500, Commensurate with experience.  USAV also offers a comprehensive benefits package to all full-time employees.

Job Description
The Graphic Designer is a regular full-time position in the Creative Services department reporting to the Manager, Brand & Design. This position will develop and create visual campaigns for both print and digital display, social media, promotions, email marketing, event marketing collateral, print and electronic publications (USAV rulebooks, annual report, etc.). Seeking collaborative, self-starter who can work well individually and as a member of a motivated team. Responsibility will be extended to design brand identities for events and programs in alignment with the overall USA Volleyball brand. Extended hours may be required to include nights, weekends and holidays. This position is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. .

Requirements
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Create graphic designs for marketing campaigns, digital (web) displays, infographics, social media and other media required.
  • Create event/program identities (logos, marks, badges, etc.) in alignment with USAV brand
  • Conceive and execute design for merchandise in accordance to marketing campaigns
  • Work simultaneously on various projects based on workload, upcoming events and departmental goals.
  • Design and layout collateral, brochures, multimedia, and various print and digital publications
  • Layout and revise print publications in accordance to print-ready specifications or epub specs.
  • Create unique designs and maintain the brand standard
  • Edit photos for use in marketing campaigns
  • Communicate, review and approve usage of any USA Volleyball IP, Brand and Marks.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or certification in graphic design, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum four years’ experience in graphic design
  • Advanced knowledge in Adobe Creative Cloud and its cross-functions in design
  • Skilled in designing for various print and digital formats (i.e., screen printing, die-cuts, print/digital publications, presentations and templates)
  • Knowledge of brand hierarchies and standards implementation and experience designing brand identities from conceptualization to execution to include brand guidelines and usage.
  • Maintain consistent and positive communication with internal and external associates
  • Ability to prioritize and organize multiple responsibilities and meet critical deadlines
  • Able to work in a PC environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign (vector environment); After Effects a plus
  • Must be able to successfully pass a USAV background screening (prior to hire date).
  • Must successfully complete SafeSport training within two weeks of hire date. Training must be maintained throughout employment.

Desired Qualifications

  • Beach Volleyball programming experience is a plus.
  • Experience with coaching or managing volleyball programs.
  • Experience working with USOC/NGB/Region High Performance

Minimum Starting Salary

$38,500 - Commensurate with experience.
