USA Triathlon is committed to fostering the growth of youth multisport opportunities and support. In many cities, children can get involved in multisport as early as age 7, or even sooner in some cases. A great way for children to find their start in multisport is the Splash and Dash Youth Aquathlon Series, featuring over 50 events across the country annually. Aquathlons greatly reduce the barrier to entry to multisport as no bike is required. The next step for many children is to find a local youth triathlon or duathlon. USA Triathlon’s youth and junior season culminates annually with the Youth and Junior National Championships. In addition to Youth and Junior Elite races that require qualification, this event features a youth age group race open to children of all capabilities, ages 7-15.
