Jordan Marshall

About Jordan: In 2009, I was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect, which required surgery to replace my aortic valve with an artificial one in December 2011. Since then, I've been able to race triathlon and duathlon National Championships several times and ITU Duathlon World Championships in Spain. I love sharing my excitement for triathlon and duathlon with everyone. Before my surgery, I had grand goals of improving my speed and competing to win races. After my surgery, I race, not because I'm going to win, but because I'm still alive.

Outside of multisport, I'm a college professor teaching and studying plant biogeography, invasive species management, and forest community structure.
