Registration Cancellations: Refunds, Transfers, and Deferments

USA Triathlon has a strict no refunds, transfers, and deferments policy for any reason for all events. This policy is agreed to at the time of registration and there are no exceptions. All athletes are encouraged to purchase registration insurance during the registration process. Registration insurance must be purchased at the time you register for the race and cannot be added afterwards. If you are unsure of your plans during the event time frame, we encourage you to wait to register. Please know that, historically, this event generally sells out in mid-July.

How do I claim registration insurance?

Please visit the FanShield FAQs on the registration page.

Have your plans changed?

We understand that sometimes plans change or injuries occur that keep you from racing. Because of the limited number of spots available in the Youth Elite & Junior Elite fields, when an athlete withdraws from the race, we do our best to fill the spot through Wild Card requests. The sooner you notify USA Triahtlon of your intent to withdraw from the competition, the better chance another athlete will have of taking your place. If you are not planning to race in Ohio, please notify nationalevents@usatriathlon.org ASAP.
