2022 EVENT UPDATES
Weather Update for Sunday's Sprint National Championships
We're working in close collaboration with the City of Milwaukee and health and safety officials to monitor the weather forecast. Due to this morning's rain and the likelihood of thunderstorms, the race format is changing from a Sprint Distance to a Super Sprint distance, with a time-trial start. Changing the format to a Super Sprint format is the best option for USA Triathlon to safely offer a National Championship racing opportunity.
Continue to check your email, event website at usatriathlon.org/agnc2022, the USA Triathlon Events App and USA Triathlon social media for all updates regarding Sunday’s Sprint National Championships. USA Triathlon's No. 1 priority is the safety of our athletes, spectators, event Officials, volunteers, first responders and all involved in producing a National Championship event.
The intention is to start Sunday's race at 7 a.m. as originally scheduled. We will continue to monitor the weather forecast and communicate potential time changes.
The Super Sprint Distance will consist of:
- 385m swim (using a time trial format within your original wave start)
- 10.7km bike
- 2.5km run
USA Triathlon Certified Officials and USA Triathlon staff on site will be able to assist you with any questions you have about the course and race formats.
Participants are encouraged to check their email, event website, the USA Triathlon Events App and USA Triathlon social media for the latest official weather information and status of Sunday’s Sprint National Championships.
