  • Masks are optional, but strongly encouraged for those person's not vaccinated.
  • There will NOT be spectator limitations.
  • Increased sanitization and hygiene measures will be taken across the entire venue.

If your email has changed since you originally registered for the event and you can't access the site, email nationalevents@usatriathlon.org to change your email. For security reasons, we will need to know your old email and another piece of identifying information, like a birthdate, to change this for you.

What happens if the event sells out? How do I get on the waitlist?

Due to capacity limitations, the 2021 Toyota Age Group National Championships has a total capacity of approx. 3,200 athletes per day of racing and may sell out very quickly. In this case, a waitlist will be offered. As slots in the event become available, athletes will be offered a chance to register for the event based on the time and date they joined the waitlist. USA Triathlon will contact waitlisted athletes via email with registration information should slots open up. Athletes will have 48 hours to register upon receiving the email. Unclaimed slots will be forfeited and offered to the next person on the waitlist.

USA Triathlon cannot predict when you may be invited to register for the event. Due to the high volume of emails we're receiving, we are unable to respond to inquiries about waitlist status.

Capacity for each race may be increased pending covid-19 limitations closer to the event. Further details will be communicated when possible closer to the event.

Registration Cancellations: Refunds, Transfers, and Deferments

USA Triathlon has a strict no refunds, transfers, and deferments policy for all events. This policy is agreed to at the time of registration and there are no exceptions, except for transfers within the same event. We are not making transfers to the 2022 Toyota Age Group National Championships or other 2022 events.

Pending available slots, athletes who wish to transfer from a Time to Tri Open Wave to Sprint or Olympic Qualification events, from Sprint to Olympic, or Olympic to Sprint may do so by emailing nationalevents@usatriathlon.org. If there is a price difference, a discount code will be generated for you to re-register for the new event and you'll pay the price difference during that process. USA Triathlon will not provide refunds for transfers to a lesser-priced event. We will not make transfers to a race that is sold out.

If you are unsure of your plans during the event time frame, we encourage you to wait to register. Please know that, historically, this event generally sells out in early-to-mid July and may sell out much earlier in 2021. Further registration details are posted on the registration pages.

If the 2021 Age Group National Championships are postponed or cancelled due to the covid-19 pandemic, USA Triathlon will communicate further information to all registered athletes.
