A Great Place on a Great Lake

USA Triathlon is heading back to Milwaukee, Wisconsin for the 2021 Toyota Age Group National Championships!

USA Triathlon is pleased to offer two races in Milwaukee. On Saturday, August 7, the Olympic-Distance National Championship will take place and on Sunday, August 8, Sprint-Distance National Championships will be awarded. Whether you are looking for the opportunity to become a national champion or simply compete among the most competitive age group athletes, this race is for you.

As a city that cherishes its roots, Milwaukee features revitalized architecture throughout downtown, along with a parade of summer festivals to celebrate the diverse cultures that made the city what it is today. But Milwaukee is also a city that's growing and changing. From major construction projects like a brand new arena and streetcar, to the revival of streets and neighborhoods around the city, there's a new energy in the air. Experience this and more at Age Group Nationals!

WATCH THE LIVE STREAM! The stream will be available starting at 6:50 a.m. CT for both the Olympic-distance (Saturday, Aug. 7) and Sprint events (Sunday, Aug. 8) on usatriathlon.org/AGNClive

Coronavirus Safety Precautions

Please know that the health and safety of all athletes, staff, volunteers and the community at large is USA Triathlon’s highest priority. We are dedicated to providing a safe environment at all USA Triathlon events, and our race logistics and safety plans for 2021 are specifically designed to prevent COVID-19 exposure and transmission. The Toyota Age Group National Championships will be held with stringent COVID-19 safety precautions in place according to USA Triathlon’s Safe Return to Multisport initiative. Additional details will be communicated to athletes on a regular basis in the lead-up to the event; however, participants should expect the following safety measures to be in place:

  • Self-screening before arrival at venue
  • Contact reduction for all athletes, staff and volunteers
  • Pre-race briefings held virtually instead of in-person
  • Increased cleaning and disinfecting practices onsite, including hand sanitizer stations throughout venue
  • Signage throughout venue reminding athletes to wear masks and remain 6 feet apart whenever possible
  • Masks will be optional for all outdoor events, but strongly encouraged for those not vaccinated.
  • Per recent guidance from the Milwaukee Health Department surrounding the Delta variant, masks will be required for all persons attending the awards ceremonies and KT Tape Team USA Lounge at the Hyatt Regency.

These practices are subject to change based on the evolving COVID-19 situation and any restrictions put in place by the host city, county and venue itself.
