Youth and Junior Elite National Championships

The Youth Elite and Junior Elite races will take place Saturday, July 30th.

Entry fee: $69

Athletes may not register as both a Youth Elite and a Youth (13-15).  If an athlete registers as a Youth (13-15) and later qualifies for the Youth Elite division, USA Triathlon will transfer the registration upon the athlete’s request, provided spots remain available in the Youth Elite race. Junior Elite athletes must be between the ages of 16-19.
The Youth Elite race field will be limited to 75 males and 75 females.

The Junior Elite race field will also be limited to 75 males and 75 females.

Event Cancellation/Modification Policy

In the event of extreme weather, natural disaster, community disaster or other unforeseen emergencies, our action steps will be as follows:
  1. USA Triathlon, in concert with local officials, will make the final decision based on safety of the athletes, spectators, vendors, volunteers and others affiliated with the event.
  2. USAT may, based on the conditions of the course, shorten the distances or cancel the event altogether.
  3. Because costs of the event have already been paid out to cover various levels of production expenses,  there will be NO REFUNDS, transferred entry fees or future complimentary entry fees.

Rules

This event requires qualification and is draft-legal. Youth Elites must be between the ages of 13-15. Junior Elites must be between the ages of 16-19. Click here for more information on Draft-Legal rules. For more information on racing as a youth or junior elite, please contact Steve Kelley.

Have Your Plans Changed?

We understand that sometimes plans change or injuries occur that keep you from racing. Because of the limited number of spots available in the Youth Elite & Junior Elite fields, when an athlete withdraws from the race, we do our best to fill the spot through Wild Card requests. The sooner you notify USAT of your intent to withdraw from the competition, the better chance another athlete will have of taking your place. If you are not planning to race in Ohio, please notify Steve Kelley, USAT Athlete Development Coordinator, as soon as possible.

Swim Course Familiarization

The Youth and Junior Elite swim course familiarization will take place on Friday, July 29 from 8-10 a.m. All teams will only be permitted to swim during their scheduled times (below).
