Air Force Handball Hosts First-Ever Air Force Invitational At Olympic Training Center

Air Force Handball hosted the first-ever Air Force Invitational at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center this past weekend. 

The tournament welcomed Dallas Team Handball Club, Salt Lake City Handball Club and Carolina Handball Club to Colorado Springs, Colorado, competing against two teams from Air Force. 

The tournament took place in the Sports Center 2 gymnasium on the Olympic & Paralympic Training Center campus in Olympic City USA, just 10 miles from the U.S. Air Force Academy. 

Air Force 1 earned gold at the tournament in a very tight 28-27 final match against Dallas THC that came down to a final goal scored by Nate Luther of Air Force scoring the game-winning shot in the final seconds of the match.

Dallas claimed second place, with Carolina coming in third with a 25-20 win against Salt Lake City. 

Austin Faulkner (Air Force) earned Most Valuable Goalkeeper, with his teammate Nate Luther earning Most Valuable Player.  Paul Assfalg (Dallas THC) was named Top Scorer.

2nd Place: Dallas Team Handball Club
3rd Place: Carolina Handball
