Zoe began playing Team Handball in August 2014 after graduating from Boston College. Growing up she played multiple sports, however, ended up focusing on soccer and track. While in high school, she helped her high school soccer team clinch two state titles and made it to the state tournament her junior and senior year for track. In 2010, she began her collegiate soccer career at Boston College, playing center back, helping the team reach four consecutive NCAA appearances. During the summer of 2014, she drove to Auburn, Alabama for the USATH tryout where she was asked to join the residency.

After competing with Team USA in 2014-2015 in hopes of qualifying for Rio, she traveled to Quint Fonsegrives outside of Toulouse, France to continue developing as a handball player. Once she returned to the USA, she completed her masters degree at the University of South Florida and is a current second year medical student at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine-Carolinas Campus.
