Personal

After seeing Handball in the Olympics in the 2009 Beijing Summer Olympics, Ethan Pickett started playing with Minnesota Team Handball (MNTH) in late 2009. Pickett attended Waldorf University, to play basketball on scholarship after high school. In his first trip to Nationals, MNTH placed second in the open division after which Ethan wanted to try to take handball to the next level. Pickett joined the training academy at Idrætshøjskolen Århus in January 2011. After two and a half years in Denmark, he signed a contract in the 1st division club Stoholm IF. The 6'3" back court player has a long list of things he wants to accomplish in handball including medaling at all three major events for Team USA (Pan Am Games, World Championships, and Olympics).

When Pickettt is not playing handball, you can usually find him selling luxury homes in South Florida or fishing somewhere in the ocean. His favorite sports moment was attending game seven of the 2016 World Series and watching the Chicago Cubs win! Additionally, he boasts a large collection of Jordan and Nike shoes. The Wisconsin native has three sisters: Kristen, Abbie and McKenzie. His parents are Steve and Deb Pickett. Pickett grew up in Darlington, Wisconsin - a town of 2,300 people.
