2015 WTF Global Licensing Applications Now Open

USA Taekwondo can today announce that the new Global Licensing online application system has gone live, introducing a faster, simpler way for all competitors, coaches and team officials to complete the registration process.

All applications are now completed on-line by the individual and processed electronically, which will dramatically reduce administration times and lead to much improved customer service for all applicants.

The 2015 Global Licensing fee is $35 and must be paid online. You will also now for the first time have the option to apply for a license lasting longer than one calendar year – full details are provided during the application process.

Paper applications are accepted to the USAT National Office in exceptional circumstances only and are subject to an additional administration fee, so please apply online if at all possible.

To complete your application simply CLICK HERE and complete the online registration process.

You will need to upload the following documents in electronic form as part of the process:

  1. Color passport style ID picture
  2. Valid copy of a U.S. Passport, Birth Certificate, Driver’s License or Green Card
  3. Copy of Kukkiwon or Black Belt Certificate (Kukkiwon or Black Belt Certificate is not required for Global Officials)
If you are having difficulties please download a document containing illustrated, step-by-step instructions by clicking THIS LINK.

US based competitors with questions should contact gal@usa-taekwondo.us.

International competitors should contact their own Member Nation Association (MNA) for guidance.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: If you are planning on participating as an athlete or official (coach, team manager & medical) in the 2015 US Open in January or any other WTF recognized tournament you must have a valid 2015 WTF Global Licence. There are no exceptions to this rule, regardless of age and this will be checked at onsite event registration. In order to receive  a valid 2015 WTF Global License, all documentation must be provided as indicated HERE. Members who have used the self-registration process but cannot met the requirements will incur a $15.00 processing fee if requesting a refund.  Refunds may take up to 7-10 business days.  Other types of refunds will not be issued.

Please Note: Referees do not require a Global License.

Licenses are issued on a calendar year basis and 2014 GALs are not valid for the 2015 US Open.

You must have completed the application process prior to January 6th 2015, but please apply as early as possible to minimize the risk of any delay.
