Personal: Qingliang Wang trained in Luneng Table Tennis School, Shandong, China, a school for professional table tennis players. Since arriving in the U.S. in 2012, he has become a professional table tennis coach, and was selected as the U.S National Coach in 2016 (Cadet National Boys and Girls Teams). Now, he is working as a full time coach at Maryland Table Tennis Center.
