USA Softball, the National Governing Body of Softball in the United States, will host its 90th Annual Council Meeting in person at the Oklahoma City Convention Center (100 Mick Cornett Dr., Oklahoma City, Okla. 73109) from October 23-27, 2021. Council Members can download the Proposed Code Change Form, Proposed Rule Change Form and the Proxy Request Form below. Only Council Members can submit these forms.

COVID PROTOCOL

As informed in a previous Annual Meeting update, the USA Softball Board of Directors voted to mandate masks at the upcoming Annual Council Meeting in an effort to provide a safe experience for all who plan to attend. A mask must be worn properly – over your nose and mouth – throughout the duration of the Annual Meeting unless eating or drinking. In addition to the mask mandate, USA Softball asks that you complete the Clear Health Pass Screening each day through the CLEAR app. CLEAR provides touchless solutions for easier entry and access with Health Pass –This is not mandatory, but highly recommended. Click here to download the CLEAR pamphlet

 

Follow the steps below to get started on CLEAR.

  1. Download the free CLEAR app by scanning the QR code in the CLEAR pamphlet
  2. Tap the white Health Pass tile, choose “Sports” and USA Softball
  3. Sign up or log in. If you’re creating an account, you’ll be asked to upload a government-issued ID and snap a quick selfie to confirm you are you.
  4. Complete the health survey to produce your Health Pass.

  

TRANSPORTATION

We will have a shuttle service that picks you up from the hotel and takes you to the airport.

 

Airport Express OKC (blue/gray vans) will run during the below times – When exiting the hotel, you will see blue or gray vans labeled as Airport Express. Please tell them you are with USA Softball.

  • From hotel to airport: Wednesday, October 27: 4:30am-6am

King’s Worldwide Transportation shuttle will run during the below times – When exiting the hotel, look for King’s Worldwide Transportation. There will be a shuttle every 20 minutes, if you have any issues, the direct dispatch number is 405-733-5466.

  • From hotel to airport: Wednesday, October 27: 6am-6:30pm

The USA Softball National Council is comprised of over 300 voting members from all aspects of the sport. The National Council, which consists of USA Softball Commissioners, Commissioner Emeritus, Executive Director Emeritus, Council Member Emeritus, Regional Player Representatives, At-Large Player Representatives, Junior Olympic Commissioners, Regional Umpire-In-Chiefs, Allied Members, Elite Athlete Reps, and Past Presidents, are charged with making decisions on legislative changes, rule changes and is responsible for awarding National Championships to host cities across the country.

All changes to the USA Softball Code, Procedural Manual and/or Playing rules are made through a legislative process. The first step to enact code legislation is for a member of the USA Softball Council to submit proposed legislation to amend the USA Softball Code, Procedural Manual and/or Playing Rules. All code and playing rule amendments are then voted on by the USA Softball Council during the meeting. 

TRADESHOW

The USA Softball Annual trade show is scheduled for Monday, October 25 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Oklahoma City Convention Center Exhibit Halls. Check-in for exhibitors will be from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on October 25. Only 25 booth spaces are available. Additionally, there are many opportunities for sponsorships for this year’s trade show and for the annual meeting as a whole. NATIONAL SOFTBALL HALL OF FAME INDUCTION CEREMONY

The 40th annual National Softball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held on Saturday, October 23 from 5 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. at the Oklahoma City Convention Center and will honor a group of nine inductees including Olympians Natasha Watley and Lovieanne Jung, former Slow Pitch greats Doug Roberson, Carl Rose, Cecil Whitehead and Curtis Williams, Men’s Fast Pitch All-Americans Terry Muck and Bill Pfeiffer, and long-time USA Softball leader Phil Guiterrez.
