The mission of USA Judo is to foster the growth of the sport of judo in the United States of America and support competitive excellence by U.S. athletes in international Olympic and Paralympic competition. The privilege of membership may, therefore, be withdrawn or denied by USA Judo at any time where USA Judo determines that its member or a prospective member's conduct is inconsistent with the mission of the organization or the best interest of the judo community, particularly its athlete community.
In order to ensure the safety of its athlete community, USA Judo has adopted the U.S. Center for SafeSport’s Training and has made this training mandatory for all certified coaches, referees, board members, medical staff, national event weight verification personnel and national office staff.
