About USA Judo


USA Judo, a 501-c-3 non-profit organization, is governed by a Board of Directors. Per the USA Judo Bylaws, the Board of Directors consists of 12 directors. Currently these directors are comprised as follows:

4 athlete directors, one of whom shall be the USA Judo representative to the USOPC Athletes' Advisory Council (the "Athlete Directors");

1 representative of the organizational members of USA Judo (the "Group Member Director");

1 representative of the Referee Members of USA Judo (the "Referee Board Member");

1 representative of the Coach Members of USA Judo, who is no the head of athlete coaching development for USA Judo (the "Coach Board Member");

3 at-large directors, who shall be members of USA Judo (the "At-Large Directors");

2 independent directors (the "Independent Directors")

The immediate past President of USA Judo shall serve as an ex-officio, non-voting member of the Board of Directors.

USA Judo is managed on a day-to-day basis by a eight-member full-time staff in the USA Judo National Office, located at the Olympic Sport House in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
