Coaches play a very important role in not only teaching the game, but also in building discipline, self-esteem, confidence and passion for a sport. Coaches can be some of the most important and influential role models in kids’ lives. Coaches teach the value of teamwork, discipline and sacrifice.
USA Field Hockey's Coaching Education Program (CEP) is focused on developing the overall “blueprint” for our long term Coach Development Pathway, Coach Accreditation Plan (CAP) and Athlete Development Model (ADM). Our mission is to provide coaches across the nation with education, tools and resources for professional development so coaches of all levels can be equipped with current, effective and engaging ways to teach their student athletes. Additionally, USA Field Hockey's Coach Education Plan will encourage coaching as a profession while providing opportunity, direction and support for coaches to reach their career goals.
