The Futures Program is dedicated to developing athletes in each region, identifying the most talented athletes in the nation and cultivating the Olympic athletes of tomorrow.

Since its establishment in 1990, the Futures Program has been the start of many field hockey dreams! Now approximately 5,000 athletes who aspire to elevate their field hockey skills to the next level participate in the Futures Program.

The Futures Program is a great opportunity for athletes who want to sharpen their field hockey skills in the off-season, allowing them to work toward their dream to play at a higher level. Athletes will train at a Futures site in their region for seven, 3-hour training sessions during the months of January through April. They will then have the opportunity to participate and be selected for their Regional Futures Tournament (RFT) to the National Futures Championship (NFC).

Why should you participate in the Futures Program?

  • Learn from great coaches in your local area!
  • Participate in the only U.S. Olympic Development Pathway!
  • Athletes participate in seven training sessions and a regional tournament for ONE FEE!
  • College coaches for all levels (Division I, II & III) recommend the Futures Program as a great opportunity for athletes to develop their skills.
  • Athletes that participated in the 2019 Futures Program said they received GREAT value for participating in the program.
