Murphy is the daughter of Danny and Karen Bromberg...She has an older sister, Jennie, and a younger brother, David...She began diving at age nine and now trains three to four hours a day, five days a week...She says the most difficult part of training is trying to balance diving with school and her social life...When she's not diving, Murphy enjoys reading, hiking, and painting by numbers...Earned a degree in corporate communications from the University of Texas and is now working on a masters in sport management
