Personal: Lauren is the daughter of Dr. Brian Reedy, M.D., and Sherry Reedy, an R.N....She is the youngest of five siblings (Nicki, Ben, Emily and Troy)...Lauren began diving at the age of 14 and also played ice hockey and softball growing up...Because she started the sport late, she says basics and drill work have never been a strong suit for her and spent the extra hours focusing on that in 2016...When it came time to be recruited, Lauren was still relatively unknown (she never qualified for a junior nationals)...Mizzou coach James Sweeney found out on the same day that two of the top divers he was recruiting had decided to go to other schools...Sweeney happened to be talking Legacy Diving coach Buck Smith, Reedy’s club coach, about how he wanted to find someone no one had heard of and make her successful...Smith told him about Lauren, and she ended up signing with Missouri, where she became an NCAA all-American...Even though she describes herself as a morning person who will sometimes wake up at 5 a.m. to enjoy the sun rise and stillness of the morning, she says the hardest part about her training is Monday mornings...When she is not diving, Lauren enjoys reading, biking, hiking, boating, sand volleyball and watching the sun rise. ...Lauren majored in nutritional sciences and pre-med at Missouri...Now trains in North Carolina
