Hailey is the daughter of Richard and Teresa Hernandez, and has two brothers, Nathaniel (also a diver) and Zachary...She began diving at seven years old...Named 2018 All American girls diving champion and earned the 2018 Tomlinson honors...Hailey competed in her first junior nationals in 2012 and her first senior nationals in 2016...She has superstitions with what suit she wears and always talks to her coach and divers before her turn to dive...Between dives, she listens to music...Hailey's favorite dive is a 205C...For the 2019 season, Hailey's goals are to increase her personal best score and to try and qualify for the Worlds team and/or Pan American Games...She considers mentally preparing to learn new dives the hardest part of training...Her favorite meal outside of competition is sushi...Her favorite diver is Jack Laugher...Hailey would describe herself as small, determined and focused...Her favorite movie is The Proposal
