Emma is the daughter of Ann Ivory and Ed Ganja. She also has two siblings, Abby and Rhys. Emma began diving when she was 10 after seeing Laura Wilkinson win the gold medal in the 2000 Olympics, and she recalls watching the 2004 Olympic women’s 10-meter competition on VHS every day when she was younger. She trained with the same club team as Laura, and the two are now close friends. Emma was also a gymnast until she was 12. During competitions, Emma likes to listen to music (she prefers upbeat music like rap and hip-hop) and dance around to keep loose. Emma’s favorite dive is 107B. She has been working on her mental focus and has also added more cardio and recovery into her training schedule in 2016. When she is not training, Emma enjoys watching other sports (she is a big Houston Texans fan and would love to meet JJ Watt), reading and shopping. She hopes to one day go to law school and would like to work for ESPN or a pro sports team.
