Personal:
Delaney is the daughter of Robert and Cynthia Schnell...She has an older sister, Reilly, and a younger brother, Chase...Delaney began diving at age 10 and was a level 8 gymnast prior to diving...Delaney's favorite dive is a back 3 1/2 tuck (207C) on 10-meter...For Delaney, the hardest part about training is getting through the last hour of practice when's tired but knows she needs to stay motivated for the entire practice...She's also working to become more consistent with her dives...She trains three to five hours a day...Delaney attended Tucson High School as a freshman and sophomore, but began attending Arizona Connections Academy (an online program) starting with the 2015-2016 school year in order to allow for more training time...When she's not training, Delaney is involved with the Southern Arizona Roadrunners and also enjoys piano, baking, cooking and watching movies (her favorites are the Divergent series)...She describes herself as determined, hard-working and a perfectionist. Delaney would like to become a physical therapist.
