Personal: Daryn is the daughter of Todd (Pilot) and Christie Wright...She has two older siblings, Andie and Derek...She began diving at age nine...Trains six hours a day, six days a week...Trains with 2016 Olympian Amy Cozad Magaña...Favorite dive is 305C on 3-meter...In between dives, she likes to listen to music (pop, musicals and some rap) or play on her phone...She enjoys hanging out with friends, music, photography, shopping and Netflix...Daryn is also active in her church youth group...Besides diving, she also plays disc golf...In 2018 she dislocated six ribs and bruised her sternum after a bad entry off 10-meter...She has been named High School All-Conference as a freshman. She has also made Honor Roll...Daryn competed in her first junior nationals in 2014 and her first senior nationals in 2016...Between dives, she likes to talk to people and listen to rap and pop music...For the 2019 season, Daryn is focusing on her mindset. She hopes to improve her dives and overcome some of her weaknesses...Staying on task for the whole six hours is what Daryn considers the hardest part of her training...Outside of competition, she enjoys mac and cheese or caesar salad...Daryn is interested in becoming a geneticist because studying how people are made is interesting. There are so many different aspects...She would describe herself as funny and hardworking...Her favorite t.v. shows are The Office and The Vampire Diaries...If she could meet anyone it would be Indycar driver Matheus Leist
