Personal: Daughter of David and Elaine Johnston...Has two sisters, Adrienne and Leah...Engaged to Sam McGrath, an assistant football coach at Duke...Abby began diving in 2002...Was also a gymnast for nine years, but had to quit because of a back injury...Abby made her second Olympic Team while balancing the rigors of medical school (She began med school at Duke in the fall of 2014 and will begin her third year after the Rio Olympic Games)...While an undergraduate at Duke, she was enrolled in a pre-med program called CAPE and interned in the brain tumor clinic at Duke Hospital...She earend a degree in psychology from Duke in 2013...Hobbies include going to the beach, watching TV, playing tennis and soccer, and spending time with family and friends
