The fifth annual USA Curling Members’ Assembly is headed to the East Coast this October! Your national organization is partnering with the Albany and Schenectady curling clubs to make this annual event possible.

Two days of informative presentations on subjects of interest to curlers will be offered to all members at no charge. Seminars focused on improving your game and growing your club will be held on Saturday, Oct. 13 and Sunday, Oct. 14. The annual Members’ Meeting, which will take place on the morning of Oct. 13, is a golden opportunity for curlers to hear about what the national organization has done for them this year. Speaking of golden, expect a special guest bearing a gold medal!

In addition to providing valuable information about the sport, the assembly is designed to connect members from throughout the country. A free dinner and on-ice competition will be held at the Schenectady Curling Club on the evening of Saturday, Oct. 13 The winners will have their names inscribed on the USA Curling Members’ Cup, the tallest trophy for the shortest spiel. There is no need to bring a team with you. Each team will be assigned curlers from around the country in order to foster camaraderie between clubs and regions.

On-ice training sessions, which are being planned at the Albany Curling Club, will be offered at a small fee. Participants will be able to sign up for the limited space in these training sessions once event registration opens in August.

Apart from the on-ice events and dinner on Saturday, all programming will take place at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Latham, New York. For room reservations call (518) 783-6161. Single and double occupancy rooms are offered at $111.00 when referencing the Group Code “USA” prior to September 9, 2018, or until the block sells out.
