USA Boxing

With the help of generous donations, the Foundation has supported the sport of amateur boxing in numerous ways:

Women’s boxing programs

  • The USABF has provided over $420,000 to build women’s boxing programs nationally. In 2012, women’s boxing appeared in the Olympics for the first time.


  • The Foundation has awarded over $430,000 to date to assist athletes in advancing their education.

World competition

  • Grants to sponsor competition and travel totaling $275,000 have been awarded to support elite U.S. athletes participating in worldwide competitions including the Olympics.

Local support

  • Over $110,000 in grants have been provided to support Local Boxing Committee (LBC) workshops, clinics, camps and other local programs that directly contribute to the development of young boxers.

Junior programs

  • $120,000 in grants have been awarded to USA Boxing to support community junior boxing programs.

Stipends and travel support

  • USABF has donated almost $130,000 to amateur boxers representing the United States in competition.

Promoting the Sport

  • Over $100,000 has been allocated for marketing and promotion to advance the awareness and reputation of amateur boxing at all levels.

Other support

  • Over $300,000 has been contributed to support amateur boxing programs and projects including membership registration support and video and scoring technology.
