Trevor Christianson was born on Thursday, January 11, 1990 in Woodinville, Wash. He is a graduate of Westmont College, in Santa Barbara, Calif, where he obtained degrees in economics and business. While at Westmont, Christianson was a member of the baseball team. 

He was first introduced to the sport of bobsled when he was watching the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games with his wife and thought he had the right athletic background to do well. His wife told him to go to a combine and the rest is history.
