Ajla Glavasevic was born in Sibenik, Croatia on December 8, 1988. The native of Erie, Pennsylvania has a Bachelor's of Science in business administration from the SUNY at Buffalo. She also has a Juris Doctor from the University of Cincinnati. Her athletic background includes gymnastics, volleyball and track and field. She participated in the heptathlon, while attending SUNY at Buffalo. 

She was introduced to the sport of bobsled upon graduation from SUNY at Buffalo. Elana Meyers contacted her to come out as a recruit. At the time, she was coming off of a few injuries and had just gotten into law school, so she decided to wait to get involved.

Following law school graduation, she wanted to get back to competing and reached out to Jamie Gruebel, which resulted in her signing up for a combine and becoming a part of the process.

FUN FACTS

- She immigrated to the United States when she was six and speaks Bosnian/Croatian fluently. 
- She wants to be a criminal and immigration defense attorney or do prisoners' rights work. 
- She plays the violin and in high school, she had the honor of performing at Carnegie Hall in NYC.
