Aquamermaid Chicago

Aquamermaid is a year-round recreative and competitive mermaid swimming school offering high quality professional coaching and technique instruction for all abilities, kids and adults starting at 7 years old. We teach how to swim with a mermaid tail costume. Established in 2015, we make mermaid dreams come true with introduction lessons, parties, and performances in giant aquariums.

The AquaSprites were established at Northwest Suburban YMCA, Des Plaines, Illinois in September of 1972 by coaches Nanette Zack, head coach and Betty Gaitsch, assistant coach. The team has long, competitive run on the local, regional and national levels. We have athletes that range from developmental novice swimmers to nationally competitive Age Group and Masters Team members.
