Build your Club

Club Membership

Becoming an official USA Archery Club is easy. The first step is to select club leaders. All clubs must have a Level 2, or higher, certified USA Archery Instructor to coach the club.  You will also want to select a club administrator who is responsible for keeping club memberships current, managing the roster in the USA Archery membership services system, ordering achievement program awards, submitting tournament sanction applications, and will be listed on the USA Archery website as the club’s main contact.

USA Archery clubs are required to have a minimum of three members. All club members will need to join USA Archery as a member.

Coaches and Volunteers

USA Archery can help you find a club coach or assist you in getting your Level 2 Instructor certification.

In addition to a head coach, clubs may have multiple assistant coaches. These assistant coaches may be Level 1 Instructors or volunteers. A Range Pass is an additional set of requirements (Background Screening, SafeSport Training, USA Archery Membership) and is mandatory for any club employee, volunteer, coach, judge or member who has routine access to minors within a USA Archery or Club event or activity. The responsibility of monitoring this policy within club events and activities lies with the club. (Level 2 and higher instructors do not need to apply for a Range Pass. All club coaches must have a USA Archery membership).

Club Members

Club members (archers in the club) will need to purchase a USA Archery Membership after they attend a maximum of three USA Archery club activities OR when a participant becomes an official member of a USA Archery Club. When joining USA Archery, archers will select their club affiliation in the USA Archery membership services system.

A USA Archery Youth, Adult, or Family membership is required to participate in the JOAD/Adult Achievement Program.

During the time when the participant is shooting in the club as a non-member, the club is required to have the participant sign a Release of Liability Form in order to participate.

A club activity is defined as any activity within a 24-hour period that is planned and hosted by a USA Archery club for members or direct membership recruitment.
Any individual participating beyond these guidelines, or if the event is not planned and organized for members only, will not be covered under the individual member or club member insurance program.
