Unstoppable: While serving in Iraq, an explosion cost Michael his right foot and injured his left. Michael "Skip" Dawson was Lukow's first archery instructor, which was part of Lukow's rehabilitation after his injuries. Part of the Army's World Class Army program, Lukow has since moved to Salt Lake City to work with Para National Head Coach Randi Smith.
