U.S. Paralympics Nordic Sit Ski Nationals & World Para Nordic Ski NorAm

Event Date: January 1-5, 2020

Event Location: Soldier Hollow, Midway, UT

U.S. Paralympics Nordic Sit Ski Nationals will bring together the most competitive group of Nordic para skiers in the U.S. to compete for National titles in Paralympic Nordic skiing events.  It is also the largest gathering of para Nordic skiers nation-wide, so we aim to attract many participants at all levels of the para Nordic ski community together for a fun weekend of racing.  This year, we will also be hosting WPNS classification in conjunction with the races.

Schedule:

Tues 12/31- Arrival #1 (for those getting classified)

Wed 1/1- Classification, Arrival #2 (for those not getting classified)

Thur 1/2- Classification, Official training 09:00-12:00

Fri 1/3- Cross-country 5/7.5k (Skate for standing athletes), 09:00 Start

Sat 1/4- Biathlon Sprint, 9:00 Start (Must have prior biathlon experience to race)

Sun 1/5- Cross-country Sprint (Classic for standing athletes), 09:00 Start, Departure (4pm or later if flying)

Mon 1/6- AM Departure

 

U.S. Athlete Event Info: 

Airport: Salt Lake City International Airport

Transportation: U.S. Paralympics Nordic will provide transportation to/from the airport as well as to/from the venue each day. You are responsible for flying into Salt Lake City: Arriving 12/31 after noon or 1/1 after noon, and departing 4pm or later on 1/5 OR the morning of 1/6.  If you are driving, you can drive directly to/from Park City. 

Lodging & Meals: National Ability Center, Park City, UT

Cost Estimate (per person):

Lodging & Meals: $55/day for double occupancy room & breakfast, lunch, dinner. 

  • Approx. Total (Arriving 12/31, departing 1/5)- $275*
  • Approx. Total (Arrival 1/1, departing 1/5)- $220*

*if you are departing on Monday 1/6, we will calculate that into your total cost

Races:  $15 for official training, $25/race, $90 total for all 3 races and official training. Must have prior biathlon experience to race. Contact BethAnn Chamberlain with questions (uspnordic@gmail.com).
