As a signature program of the Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department, the mission of Paralympic Sport Tampa Bay (PSTB) is to promote health, independence, and personal growth for people with physical or visual disabilities through sports. The Miami Heat Wheels is a competitive wheelchair basketball team in the National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA). Competing at the Division III level in the Florida Wheelchair Basketball Conference, the adult wheelchair basketball team competes in local and regional competitions associated with the the NWBA.
