Team USA 2020 Collegiate Olympic Schedule
Originally scheduled to take place last summer, the 2020 Olympic Games are slated to be held July 23 to Aug. 8, 2021 in Tokyo. Team USA will begin its first competitions prior to the Opening Ceremony, with two teams competing on July 21: the women’s softball team faces Italy at noon local time/10 p.m. CDT at the Fukushima Azuma Baseball Stadium, and the women’s soccer team will square off with Sweden at 5:30 p.m. local time/3:30 a.m. CDT at Tokyo Stadium. Men’s gymnastics, 3x3 basketball, beach volleyball, fencing, swimming, volleyball and water polo all begin competition on July 24. Track and field – which boasts Team USA’s largest contingent of athletes (128) – kicks off competition on July 30 and continues through the final day of the Games, when the men’s marathon will be contested.
With more than 400 U.S. college athletes competing this summer in Tokyo, schools and conferences are invited to use the schedule tracker (below) to monitor when their athletes will be competing. The schedule tracker is automated as schedules and start sheets are finalized. (Please note schedules may fluctuate up to the time of the event.) The below database is organized by day/sport and provides the time of competition both locally (Japan Standard Time) and in Eastern Daylight Time.
