Per the USOC Athlete Safety Policy, the SafeSport Code for the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Movement and the Protecting Young Athletes from Sexual Abuse and SafeSport Authorization Act signed into law on Feb. 14, the following reports must be made for suspected or alleged misconduct:

Physical/Sexual Child Abuse


Suspected or alleged physical or sexual child abuse must be reported within 24 hours to the U.S. Center for SafeSport and law enforcement (required by federal law).

Sexual Misconduct


Suspected or alleged sexual misconduct not involving a minor must be reported to the U.S. Center for SafeSport and relevant law enforcement agencies where applicable.

Other Misconduct


All non-sexual forms of misconduct not involving a minor (physical, emotional, bullying, hazing and harassment) must be reported to the USOC and relevant law enforcement agencies where applicable.
