Personal: Gonzalez was diagnosed with femoral anteversion, which causes her hips and feet to twist inward but does not require her to use a wheelchair in her daily life. She made the 2018 U.S. women's wheelchair basketball national team roster at age 13. Gonzalez says her basketball journey began when she watched her big brother play, who has cerebral palsy.
