Personal: Moody grew up playing several sports including basketball, tennis and softball. At age 10, she experienced a sore in her leg that was examined by her aunt, a doctor of physical therapy, who recommended that she be taken to the emergency room. She was diagnosed with stage four osteosarcoma, an aggressive cancerous tumor that originates at the end of a growth bone, that led to the amputation of her right leg. In 2014, she started playing wheelchair basketball and has risen to become a young talent on the U.S. women’s wheelchair national team. Daughter of Patrick and Tiffany Moody…Has two brothers, Luke and Caleb, and two sisters, Lexi and Emmy…Hobbies include theater and playing the piano and guitar…Wears #43 in honor of Philip Lutzenkirchen, a former Auburn University football player who died in a drunk driving accident…Appeared on the show “The Doctors” because of her unique amputation called Rotationplasty…Would like to be remembered for her hard work and integrity on and off the court.
