Son of Lori and Roger…Has one sister, Hannah…Served in the U.S. Army, was deployed three times to Afghanistan and Iraq and sustained an injury in 2010…Was introduced to Paralympic sport through the military rehab program and started training with the U.S. Paralympics National Soccer Team in 2014…Officially retired from the military in 2014…Was a three-sport athlete at St. Andrews University, playing soccer, basketball and boxing… After his athletic career, he became a firefighter EMT/paramedic in Florida, but a year later, he developed a strong desire to serve in a greater capacity and joined the U.S. Army… He represented Team SOCOM (United States Special Operations Command) at the 2013 Warrior Games where he was his team’s “ultimate champion,” competing in two team sports and five individual events…Has been to 88 countries…Proficient in four languages: English, Spanish, Dari and Pashto. …Pursuing his master’s degree in intelligence management with the intent of eventually earning his doctorate degree… He has climbed three of the world’s tallest mountains since his 2010 injury (Mt. Kilimanjaro, Mt. Blanc, and Elbrus) and plans to attempt Mt.
